This section is copied from the #spriting-guidelines channel on the discord. Please make sure you have read spriting-guidelines entirely before applying! Creating Sprites A Sprite Manager will come evaluate you as soon as possible!.(conventional fusions of IF Pokémon only please! no non-IF mons or joke fusions.) Post three fusions sprites you have made in there.A private channel will be created for you to apply in. Once you've gotten feedback on your sprites, click the Apply for the Spriter role! button in the #apply-for-spriter channel.Create three sprites and post them to #spritework so the community can give you feedback and tips! You can use the command /feedbackpls if no one comments on your sprites.To get the role, you must do the following on discord: To be allowed to post there, you must have the Spriter role. If this is your first time installing a sprite pack, download the one labeled "Full", as it contains all the sprites created for the game up to the previous month.Īnything that gets posted to the #sprite-gallery channel will be added to the sprite packs and game. The official sprite packs are hosted on the #downloads channel in discord. They can also be used to update the sprites in your game if you already have a custom sprite installed and it has been updated. These packs offer more variety and allow you to choose the active sprite through the in-game Pokédex, but often come with less quality control. However, more sprites are created by the community regularly and can be downloaded through sprite packs, which are uploaded monthly. Once you memorize the keybinds and where you need to go, you can put in a new sprite in under a minute.The base game includes a collection of quality-controlled sprites and an auto-downloader that can download sprites you do not already have custom art for. You can edit the name and sprite height in G3TS. If the image in the top left corner is correct (correct palette and clear background), then you've done it! Go in game and see it! If you go to a different Pokemon and go back, you can see if it worked. Next you can hit Ctrl + S to save the sprite. You'll need to save the Palette to a new Pointer (or don't if you're like, super advanced). Make sure you've selected Image + Palette and save. If your background is clear, you've done the previous steps correctly. Hitting enter here will open the file slection, select your file and it will go back to the import screen. Once you open your ROM, navigate to what image you want to replace. NSE won't work with Ruby, but you can wait for a future update for support. I'll be using Fire Red for this, but it will also work with Emerald, as NSE works. It will ask you to save it, but you don't have to because already exported it. If there are more than 16 colors, you didn't do the indexing right. Then you want to find your background color and move it to the front of the list. Using GIMP, you want to go to Colors => Map => Rearrange Colormap Most people use Irfanview for this, but GIMP won't mess up the original image when swapping the palette, so you can directly import it to the ROM. You'll need to decrease the color depth to 16 colors. ![]() The file extension of your image should be. Make sure your background color is something abstract and not in the image anywhere.
